Getting Around

Our Story

Let’s rewind to the summer of 2019…

TikTok was just starting, “social distancing” wasn’t yet a thing, and Felipe was… well, partying a lot. Fabi was living her best life, no strings attached.

They met at a wild summer BBQ, and somewhere between the music and the drinks, they kissed. They were just two young adults, living their best lives, and casually deciding to be friends, just friends. No plot twists yet (except for that one kiss).

That was the prequel (ignoring the part where Felipe tried a few times and was massively friendzoned by Fabi until he finally quit).

Then came 2020. The world shut down. Fabi, living solo, started talking to her plants a little too much. Luckily, her Aussie friends rescued her into their “mental health bubble,” a very 2020 concept, filled with dinners, bike rides, and park hangouts.

In a group-expanding twist, they invited Felipe and his friend Juanquito. Goodbye sleepy mornings, hello cycling crew. One ride became two, then three… “are we a cycling cult now?”

As lockdown eased, the rides turned into dinner parties, unfiltered sharing, and high-stakes Monopoly. Somewhere between the rides, wine, and ravioli, Felipe and Fabi started orbiting together.

On July 4th, 2020, yes, the same date as their wedding, amidst fireworks (imagined or not), they kissed again. Who kissed who first? Forever disputed. But the “just friends” chapter was officially over.

Fast forward a few years: they built a cozy home in Hammersmith and filled it with love, fun, and Archie, a fluffy Pomsky Fabi expertly negotiated into their lives. Archie is now Felipe’s wallpaper and basically Fabi’s dog version, with endless cyclone-like energy.

In 2024, Fabi hit the big 30. Felipe, in a moment of cool boyfriend behavior, surprised her with a ski trip to Austria for a music festival. Mid-gondola ride, above snowy mountains, he pulled out a ring and asked her to “LEVEL UP.” Spoiler alert: despite being hungry the whole journey, she said YES.

And now, after all those rides, dinners, and years together, it’s time for the biggest celebration yet. They can’t wait to bring everyone they love to Pereira for a weekend full of laughter, dancing, and all the good chaos that started it all.

Let’s do this, one more time.

Fly into Matecaña International Airport (PEI) in Pereira - this is the main and recommended airport for the weekend.

Most international flights connect through Bogotá (BOG), with Avianca and LATAM offering regular short flights from Bogotá to Pereira (about 45 minutes).

For guests coming from the US, there are also convenient routes via Panama City (PTY) with Copa Airlines, and depending on the time of year, there may be direct flights from some US cities to Pereira.

Typical routes are:
London → Bogotá → Pereira
Rio de Janeiro → Bogotá → Pereira
Miami → Bogotá or Panama City → Pereira
New York → Bogotá or Panama City → Pereira

Once in Pereira, the venue area (Cerritos) is just about 20 minutes from the airport.

We recommend booking the full journey with the same airline whenever possible, to keep connections smoother and baggage checked through to Pereira.

The Coffee Region is full of unique experiences — here are some of our favorites.

Cocora Valley – One of Colombia’s most iconic landscapes, filled with towering wax palms and lush green mountains. You can hike through the valley for incredible views or rent a horse for a relaxed ride.

Santa Rosa de Cabal Hot Springs – The perfect plan to unwind — natural thermal pools surrounded by waterfalls and tropical scenery. www.termales.com.co

The Magic Towns: Salento & Filandia – Two colorful colonial towns full of charm, artisan shops, and cafés. Wander through cobblestone streets, visit local markets, and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere.

Coffee Farm Experience – Visit a nearby coffee farm to walk through the plantations, see the roasting process, and taste some of the best coffee in the world. We recommend Finca del Café near Santa Rosa de Cabal — one of the top-rated coffee tours in the area.
